The 434th and Vietnam: 1968 - 1969
The 930th Tactical
Airlift Group and the 71st Tactical Airlift Squadron of the 434th
Tactical Airlift Wing served a very unique and specific role
in the Vietnam conflict.
The 71st Tactical Airlift
Squadron/Special Operations Squadron was the only Air Force Reserve unit to
have served in a combat role in Vietnam.
